He gravitates toward high perches — spots where he can survey the room from a safe distance, watch the world below, and feel settled in his space. He isn't hiding exactly; he's just thoughtful about where he plants himself and who he lets close.<br/><br/>He carries some anxiety with him. You'll notice it in the way he reacts to sudden noises, the quick jerk of his head when something startles him, the alertness that never quite fully switches off. We have occasionally added a small amount of pet-approved CBD oil to his breakfast and have seen a meaningful difference in how he carries himself on those days — softer, more relaxed, more present. Once he's in a permanent home and fully settled, a regular anxiety support routine or low-level medication may be something worth exploring with a vet. For now, we've chosen to let him work through things at his own pace and show us who he is without the pressure of intervention. He deserves that chance.<br/><br/>And then — mealtime arrives.<br/><br/>It is like a completely different cat steps forward. When food is involved, Marlow lights up. We are making progress, but it takes patience and consistency, and his new home will need to continue that work with the same gentle, unhurried approach.<br/><br/>Marlow needs an adopter who looks at him and thinks "I want to be there for him" — not someone measuring what they'll get in return. He gives love in small, quiet moments. A head lean here, a question-mark tail there, a rub against your leg when the food bowl comes out. Those moments are his way of saying he trusts you, and they mean everything because he doesn't give them away easily.<br/><br/>He is a deeply sweet boy.
