Meet the marvelous Marlene!<br/><br/>Marlene is a beautiful white and black tuxedo girl. She has pretty green eyes and white stripes that lead up to the back of her ears. So cute!!! She also has a sweet and feminine face and she is nearing 6 years old. <br/>Marlene is always out in the open now and she loves big fluffy beds that she can lay in and feel like royalty. The bigger and fluffier the better! She really enjoys being pet and she raises her booty up in the air for scratches. Most recently she decided she loves belly rubs!!! She rolls over so you can pet her belly and it's very adorable. She also PURRS!!!<br/>We are SO EXCITED to be listing Marlene!!! She came into the shelter FOUR years ago as a protective mom with her 3 kittens (all adopted.) She had to completely learn how to trust humans and she has just progressed so much recently and we are SO PROUD of her.<br/>Marlene will need a patient family because a transition to a home will be an adjustment for her. But it will be SO rewarding to watch this girl blossom in a home. She does not prefer to be approached from the front, so the best way to bond with her is to sit next to her and pet her from behind. Then you will see her come to life and really love all the attention you can give her. <br/>Marlene does have a condition called stomatitis, which causes her to be sensitive to normal plaque build up on her teeth. We have learned with just a monthly steroid injection and a yearly dental cleaning, she does exceptionally well and continues to thrive.<br/>Marlene also does SO WELL with the other cats here at the shelter, and she is often snuggled up with someone. So if you have other cats that's great! All of our cats have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, microchipped, and tested for FIV/FeLV. Effective February 1, 2020 the adoption fee for cats and kittens is $100.00. Special adoption fee for adopting multiple cats!**
