Mariposa's Story

Meet Mariposa! She is a tiny little fluff ball of love and purrs. She is looking for a special home where she can be the only cat, as she is FELV positive. This means that she can live with other FELV cats, OR she can live with doggy friends! Dogs and Humans cannot catch FELV. There is more testing that we can do when she is six months old to see how the FELV is likely to affect her as time goes on. Mariposa is cuddly and gentle, and very loving. Scritch Kittens's Adoption Policy

We have an adoption application that is screened for minimum requirements. Most adoptions are limited to within 50 miles of our home base. Applicants then undergo a phone interview and are matched with potential kitten. At that point we schedule a virtual meet and greet with the potential adopter and the foster parent. This is an opportunity for the potential adopter to meet the kitten, and for the foster parent to meet the adopter. If everything is determined to be a fit, then we arrange for an adoption. We also now have a partnership with Nabi Cat Cafe in Santa Clara, where you can meet several of our kittens at once! At the time of adoption, every kitten is given a special blanket to take to their new home, along with any favorite toy, a starter package of food and treats, and information about local resources. Adopter completes and signs an adoption agreement that is modeled after our local shelters.
