Mario and Luigi recently found themselves job hunting after their human passed away. These boys are experienced indoor/outdoor cats and are now looking for employment as shop cats, barn supervisors, or general workplace managers. Mario is the mechanic of the operation-he specializes in inspecting engines, warming hoods, and judging your repair skills from a safe but visible distance. Luigi serves as quality control, morale support, and backup mechanic (mostly by watching very closely). They take their work seriously but understand the importance of naps, snacks, and the occasional head scratch. With the right setup, they'll happily keep rodents in check, tools company, and vibes immaculate. Mario and Luigi are not bonded but would like to stay together-every good mechanic needs a trusted assistant. Before You Arrive: Be prepared to spend an hour or more for the whole process. Heads of the household and children living in the household should be present. If you have another dog, we recommend he/she should come in to meet the new dog. To expedite your adoption experience, please fill out the appropriate Adopter Profile and bring it with you when you come in to adopt a pet. They are also available at the shelter for you to complete. Please note: Out of state adoptions will be approved at the discretion of the ARL management staff on a case by case basis for special circumstances. Adoption process: At the ARL, we consider ourselves to be great matchmakers! Your adoption process starts by gathering information about the type of pet you’re looking for to help you think through the desired personality traits of the pet you’re hoping to adopt. Adopters can also come with a pet in mind after browsing our available pets on our website. Then, our adoption counselors work one on one with you to introduce you to pets at the shelter who they think would be best suited to you and your family. After you have spent some time with your selected pets, your adoption counselor will review everything we know about the pet’s medical, personality and behavior history (including any notes that his/her previous owner may have made). If your adoption counselor and your family think the pet is a great fit for you and your family, unless otherwise noted, you will be able to take the pet home that day. The Animal Rescue League of Berks County, Inc., in its sole discretion, may approve or deny your adoption application for any animal for any reason whatsoever.
