Meet Marina

Is anyone in need of some hot fresh biscuits? Marina' bakery is open for business! Marina is a one-year-old cat who is looking for her forever home. She is shy and uncertain with new environments, but by granting her a little time, understanding, and patience, she will blossom into the sweetest and silliest cat you’ve ever met. Once she gets to know you, she will worm her way into your heart and make you fall in love. Marina’s favorite activities include: snuggling (with both her human and cat friends), making the fastest biscuits you’ve ever seen, leaping after feather toys, digging through the toy box to search for her favorite toys, head bonking to show her love (again, both her human and cat friends), having zoomies, scratching cat scratchers, and more! Marina gets along very well with other cats. She enjoys gently wrestling with the other foster kittens in the home as well as running around and snuggling up in bed with the resident cats. As the weather has turned colder, this petite princess has turned into quite the aficionado of cuddles, and now can’t get enough. She would love to curl up next to you on a fluffy blanket (after making her daily biscuit allotment), and purr away the evening. She is a very vocal cat, but her voice is rather quiet so she will often let you know she’s got something on her mind by arching up against your leg so you’re sure to hear what she has to say.

Like mentioned above, Marina is shy with new people and uncertain in new environments. She took a few months to fully warm up to her fosters and her fosters’ home. She has made incredible progress—from a cat that was frightened of people and very hand shy—to a cat that can’t get enough pets and purrs through every interaction. We anticipate that she will need a patient and gentle transition into her forever home to set her up for success, but if you take the time to show her that she is safe, welcome, and loved, she will bloom into an incredible cat.

Because of her gentle and cautious nature, Marina would do best in an adult-only home (or a home with older children who will give her the space and patience she needs). Marina would do well in homes with or without other cats, but she has never met a dog.
