Marie's Story

Marie is a 2-year-old kitty who lost her home due to an eviction. She is waiting at the Franklin Township Animal Shelter for someone to adopt her and give her a safe place to land. Marie is an independent girl who would be best suited for an adult-only home where she can seek out affection on her own terms. She will allow some gentle pets, but will communicate with you once she’s had her fill. Marie is not fond of other animals so she needs to be the queen of her castle.

Franklin Township Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

Adoption fee for dogs, cats, kittens, and rabbits is $80 per animal. Cats, dogs, rabbits and kittens are spayed/neutered. Cats, dogs, and kittens are microchipped, and up-to-date on all age-appropriate shots prior to adoption. Cats have also been tested for feline leukemia and FIV and dogs have been tested for heartworm. An adoption application may be found at the link below. Applications can be faxed to the Animal Shelter at 732-873-8902 or e-mailed to Brian.Hartman@FranklinNJ.Gov. Applications may also be dropped off in person during our open hours Tuesday-Friday 12pm-3pm Saturday 12-6pm.
