Marguerite's Story
Marguerite: A Shy Little Flower Seeking a Gentle Gardener

Meet Marguerite, a beautiful petite 2-year-old brown tabby. She is a small cat with a big need for patience and quiet. Marguerite came to us as a stray and the shelter environment has been very overwhelming for her. She is currently feeling scared and shut down and will let you know with a hiss if you move too quickly!

However, beneath her nervous exterior, Marguerite shows wonderful signs that she is ready to trust. If you go slow and approach gently, she likes ear scratches and gentle head pets. She wants to like affection but is feeling too scared to be vulnerable.

Marguerite is looking for a quiet home where she can be given a small, safe room to decompress. She is looking for an experienced and patient adopter who understands that building trust will take time and consistency. If you give her a quiet space, she will slowly learn that she is safe and blossom into a loving companion.

We are unsure how Marguerite does with children or other animals, but we always recommend a slow introduction and our adoption staff is happy to go over integrating a new cat into your home. Marguerite is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and was given a flea/tick preventative.

If you're ready to be the nurturing gardener Marguerite needs to bloom, please reach out to us at 920-733-1717, adopt@foxvalleypets.org, or swing by during our open hours!
