Margot -Gentle Soul Seeking Safe Haven's Story
Meet Margot: A Gentle Soul Seeking Her Safe Haven

Born April 6, 2025, Margot is a beautiful gray and white tabby with the sweetest heart—one that's been through more than any cat should ever experience. Her story isn't an easy one, but it's one that makes her all the more deserving of the loving forever home she's been waiting for.

Margot came to us from an abusive household. When her former owners moved, they abandoned her—pregnant and alone. Despite everything she's endured, this resilient girl has held onto her gentle, sweet nature. She's not broken; she's just learning that the world can be kind.

Right now, Margot is a little insecure and unsure. New people, new sounds, even new toys can feel overwhelming to her. She's fearful because she's never known true safety—but that's exactly what she's searching for. Margot doesn't need much; she just needs you. She needs someone who will be patient, who will move at her pace, and who will show her, day by day, that she's finally home.

What Margot Needs:
Margot would thrive with someone who works from home and can be her constant, reassuring presence. She needs a quiet, calm environment with minimal activity—a peaceful sanctuary where she can slowly blossom. She would do best as an only cat, where all the love and attention can be focused on helping her heal and trust again.

She does play, but new toys can be scary at first. With time and patience, she'll learn that playtime is fun, not frightening. Every small step forward will be a victory, and watching her transform will be one of the most rewarding experiences you'll ever have.

Ideal Home: Margot requires a home with NO dogs and NO children—a serene space where she can feel secure and build confidence at her own pace.
Health: Margot is ready for her fresh start—spayed, current on all age-appropriate vaccinations, parasite treated, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and microchipped.

Why Margot Deserves a Chance:
Margot's story could have ended in tragedy, but instead, it's just beginning. Beneath her fear is a cat who wants so desperately to love and be loved. She's not looking for a hero—just someone willing to sit quietly beside her, to let her come to them in her own time, and to show her that not all humans cause pain.
If you have a calm home, a patient heart, and the time to help a special cat heal, Margot is waiting for you. She may take a little longer to trust, but once she does, you'll have earned the devotion of a cat who knows exactly how precious love truly is.

If you would like to adopt Margot please complete an online Adoption Form at our website https://feralsandkittensandcatsohmy.org/adoption-application/

Or click the about us tab on this page and continue to our Adoption Application.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
PLEASE READ BEFORE COMPLETING AN APPLICATION:

I take the time to write bios outlining the personality of each cat. To the best of my ability I determine if the cat would adjust to a household with young kids, dogs or other cats. If I feel they would not be a good match I state that in the description. Most of the cats that I rescue were abandoned and having a hard time surviving on the streets. I take them in, get them vetted/vaccinated and then let them decompress.

PLEASE DO NOT fill out an application if you have young kids or dogs where I specifically state this would NOT be a good match. I will only contact you if I feel your application will be a good fit.

1) All the cats/kittens that are up for adoption will be spayed/neutered have age appropriate vaccinations, combo tested and treated for fleas and worms and microchipped.
2) An approved application is necessary prior to a meet and greet,
3) Submitting an application does not lock you into a commitment to adopt.
4) If you would like to meet one of our cats please submit an application at https://feralsandkittensandcatsohmy.org/adoption-form/

Find us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/carolsferalsny
