Marcie's Story

My friends and I were a transplant from another rescue in Mississauga that was shutting down. I am an extremely timid girl. I can be quite spooked by loud noises and sudden movements. I am still quite uncertain of people walking around and towards me - I prefer when you are closer to my level and not moving around. I am very good at finding hiding spots you least expect me to be in. I have made great improvements in the past few years, and certainly still have ways to improve my interaction with humans. The humans suspect once I am in my forever home, I will continue to make improvements. I have slowly let my personality shine through, I am an extremely sweet girl! I love to be pet and receive head scratches - I have quite a strong headbutt! I also do this adorable head tilt flop over move when I want your attention. So far I seem pretty indifferent to toys and catnip, but I love my wet food and treats! Aside from having the majority of my teeth extracted, I am very healthy for my age! I get along great with other cats, and could benefit from having a confident cat be my mentor. I would also do great on my own in a home that is willing to be patient with me.Applications are reviewed in order received until an appropriate match is made.

For more information about Next Chance Cat Rescue, please visit our website at http://nextchancecatrescue.com
