Marceline's Story
Marceline's foster writes, "We would love potential adopters to know that Marceline's initially shy demeanor shouldn't fool you-she is one of the sweetest, gentlest cats you'll ever meet. She has the most adorable raspy, crackly little meow that makes us smile every time we hear it! Marceline isn't overly vocal, but if she wants something and you're not quite catching on, she'll definitely let you know.

Some of her favorite "somethings" might surprise you. Marceline is a proud member of the sink-cat club (the best kind!). She often requests a fresh drink from the faucet and will even hop into an empty bathtub to let you know she's ready for a brushing session. She genuinely enjoys spending time in the bathroom by choice-whether she's admiring herself in the mirror or enjoying her favorite routines. We're not sure where these quirky habits came from, but during her time in foster they quickly became part of our daily routine-and we've grown to love them.

Marceline thrives with gentle handling and a calm, quiet environment. When she feels safe and comfortable, you'll unlock her endless purring. She enjoys exploring her surroundings and keeping an eye on her people, but she's also perfectly content lounging in a sunny window or curled up on a soft blanket on the couch or bed.

While she has tolerated children well in foster and has never shown aggression or fear, this refined lady seems to prefer the calm companionship of a quieter, more settled home.

Her beautiful coat does best with regular brushing to prevent mats and reduce shedding and dander, as well as to keep her fur looking its best. Aside from that, Marceline is a fairly low-maintenance girl who is simply waiting for the right person to call her own.

If she doesn't immediately steal your heart on first meeting, we truly believe she's worth giving a little time to. Watching Marceline come out of her shell and thrive in a loving home is something special-and sometimes the best companions just need that chance."
