Marbles's Story

Marble was found on a neighbors porch when it started getting cold. She wanted nothing more than to come inside and be warm. She loves food and rubbing against your legs. She doesn't like being picked up but doesn't scratch you if you do, just protests it. She is a little hesitant around my dogs and cat but not aggressive. Familiar Hearts Animal Society's Adoption Policy

We always have potential adopters fill out our adoption application first so we can first vet them and make sure we approve of them as adopters before then inviting them to meet the animal(s) they are interested in. We feel this not only saves time for our fosters, it helps us get to know the applicant better and better be able to match them with the potential pet that is best for them. We always make sure everyone has a lot of time to deeply consider the adoption before finalizing it. The adoption is considered finalized after the adoption contract is reviewed and signed and the fee is paid. We then tranfer all the vet records and microchip information to the new family. We also offer behavioral support before and after adoption and one free training session with our dog trainer for dog adopters.
