Marble Rye's Story

COME VISIT ME SAT AND SUN OCT 18TH AND 19TH FROM 12:00-3:00 AT THE ARBORETUM PETCO 3401 PINEVILLE-MATTHEWS RD, CHARLOTTE NC 28226

Hi! My name is Marble Rye, but my friends call me Marbles! I was found by a Good Samaritan when I was just about three weeks old. I was all alone, scared and hungry. She quickly brought me to a local animal shelter where I spent a few hours before I was rescued by Juniors Fund. Did I mention I was alone, scared and hungry? When I got to my foster home, I quickly guzzled my bottle and then did a great big burp. The ladies I was with thought it was very funny! They immediately loved on my and kept me warm and cozy, but I very much missed my mama and siblings. I cried and cried and cried. Within a day or two of being there. my foster mom noticed I was breathing funny, and wasn't able to latch onto my bottle with the normal gusto that I usually do. It was a Sunday night and she was worried about me so off to animal emergency we went. The doctors there said I had aspiration pneumonia (those are big words for a little kitten), anyway, all it means is I swallowed my milk wrong and it got into my lungs. I had to spend the night at animal emergency. I was again alone and scared. When I got back to my foster home the next day, the rescue community came together and I had a toasty warm incubator to recover in. Once I was big and strong enough, I got to have a kitty best friend. Challah left her siblings in order to come live and play with me. It is sooooo much fun having a playmate, We became kitty best friends. But then baby Pita was left behind when the rest of our siblings moved onto their new lives with their furever families. So I gave my foster kiitty Mama, Baker and foster sister Challah a kiss on the nose and off to live with Pita I went. I tell you all this because I want you to know what a selfless, loving and confident kitten I am. I can adapt to ANY situation and household. Both Challah and Pita are about 10 days older than me, my foster humans were concerned they might play too rough for me. Ha, ha, I showed them, and I quickly was the annoying little brother pouncing on them and chasing them all around. I hope Pia thinks it is as much fun as I do. She is such an awesome sister and we both get along so well, that we are praying for a family that will adopt us both. You know what they say.....two is better than one!

I am the sweetest kitten even. As soon as you pick me up I will begin purring and purring. When I am hungry, I will wiggle up and start nuzzling on your ear! I also love to burrow in my bedding and build kitten forts to hide in. I hope I get to take some of my favorite toys and beds with me when I go to my furever home! Please come meet me and Pita! We love to wrestle, hunt furry mice, and of course run around all day long until our batteries need to be recharged. Well to be honest, that never happens, we have extended life batteries!

We are all ready for adoption, so don't miss out on the chance to call us your own. You know what they say....two is better than one!

You can complete an application at:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfb4O6Ow5ZEjb-vqr5_Z9V5imlyAdnlAIpZ2uEzAXLl4h9MCw/viewform?usp=sf_link (copy and paste into your browser)

Please contact Juniors Fund at juniorsfund@gmail.com for more information.

Due to the delicate nature of kittens and children, it is not recommended that kittens under the age of six months be adopted into families with children under six years old.

Adoption Fee Includes:
Initial Exam
Deworming
Flea Treatment
Full Vaccine Package
FELV/FIV Test
MicroChip
Spay/Neuter
