Maraca -Cerebellar Hypoplasia-

Meet Maraca!<br/><br/>Maraca was found running wild outside and scooped up by one of our staff members. Maraca was easily caught because she has a condition called cerebellar hypoplasia. Maraca's cerebellum (the region of her brain that controls fine motor skills, coordination, and balance) did not develop properly. As a result, she is a very wobbly kitten!<br/><br/>Cats and kittens with CH do not experience pain from their condition. They typically live full lifespans as long as they have a little extra TLC to help them thrive. Maraca eats, drinks, and uses her litter box on her own. She's a very happy kitten! The worst of her mobility issues happens when she gets a little too excited. She tends to fall right over!<br/><br/>While at Creekside, our kittens are exposed to a variety of people, animals, and sounds.
