Meet Mara

Mara has been a cherished resident of Cats Pawjamas for 1.5 years, where she has captured the hearts of everyone with her affectionate nature. This lovely feline is known for her shiny, sleek, black coat. She loves washing her favorite humans' faces with her rough tongue, a gesture that can be almost as annoying as it is endearing.

Mara's journey to find her own family, has been a relatively long one, and she's now available for adoption, ready to find a loving home. Despite facing Chronic URI, Mara remains resilient and full of love. Chronic URI is a condition where symptoms persist for an extended period. While it can be challenging to treat, but is an inconvenience, not a dire condition. Mara doesn't let it bother her.

Antiviral treatments have been found to be the most helpful in managing her condition. Although there may be cat snot, it's a small price to pay for the joy and affection that Mara brings. She would tolerate another cat (maybe 2), but would also be very happy as an only child. She's been raised around dogs. She seems to really enjoy children, making her a perfect addition to a family with little ones.

Mara's unique personality and unwavering affection make her the perfect feline companion for someone looking to bring warmth and joy into their home. If you are interested in welcoming Mara into your heart and home, visit Cats Pawjamas and apply to adopt this wonderful black beauty.
When adopting a kitten, consider a second kitten to avoid "single kitten syndrome". Two kittens keep each other busy, get into less trouble, are better socialized and can keep each other company while you're gone.

When introduced properly, most cats and kittens adjust well to children and other pets in the home. It's critical that cats have a safe place to retreat to if interactions become overwhelming and that all early interactions are well supervised. If you already have a cat, please talk to us about how to introduce them to each other successfully.

All our cats and kittens are litter box trained, spayed or neutered, up-to-date on shots and worming and have been treated for fleas. They also are microchipped with a complimentary registration fee.

The fee for all our cats and kittens is $175 plus tax, with a $50 discount for adopting a second cat or kitten.

If you're interested in adopting, please complete an application at www.catspawjamas.org.

If you're "just browsing", consider making a donation to our rescue via our website to help us continue to save cats and kittens at risk of death or homelessness.
