Maple, Spruce, & Leaf - The Warrior Kits

In early August, we got a call from the Lancaster Animal Shelter. They rescued three female kittens from a Tractor Supply bucket. The man who found them posted the kittens on a community site and told the Shelter to come get them or he would just leave them in the bucket. The kittens were skinny and needed a good bath, but were already eating wet food, which means they were about five weeks old. We are calling their birthday July 4, 2026.

I don’t know how many of you are familiar with The Warrior Cats book series. If you have preteen or young teen girls or granddaughters, you’ve probably heard something about them. There are about a bajillion books in the series. All the cats are named after something in nature. So these little warriors are Maple, Spruce, and Leaf.

All three kittens are stunningly beautiful. Early on these ladies were the messiest eaters of any kittens we’ve had in our rescue. It was adorable, but meal time was an assembly line. Feed the kittens, bathe the kittens, blow dry the kittens. Now they are proper eaters, healthy, loving, playful, and litter trained.

With three kittens in a litter, we always hope at least two will be adopted together. They are very bonded to each other but also well socialized to humans. After rough and tumble play, they enjoy nothing more than napping in a lap. They are perfectly behaved with our two older rescue cats and would do well with active children, an older cat, or with a cat-friendly dog.

Our adoption fee is $150 and covers FIV/FeLV testing, deworming, vaccinations, and spay/neuter with a partner clinic. To set up a visit, drop me a note at cherylsferalsandfosters@gmail.com or PM me. If you are considering adopting, please fill out and submit the adoption contract found in The Adoption Process link on my website (cherylsferalsandfosters.com). In the meantime, you can follow their journey on Facebook: Cheryl’s Ferals and Fosters Chat Group. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3).
