Hi, I’m Maple 🍁. Like the leaf and the syrup!<br/><br/>I’m quite petite but this is as big as I’ll get (DOB 8/24). I’m considered medium haired but my tail is super floofy and my foster mom says I’m especially soft and low shed. I may be a little shy when we first meet, but if you give me just a little bit of patience and a safe space to warm up, I’ll happily invite you into my circle of trust. Once you’re in, you’re in for life. That’s when my true personality comes out—sweet, chatty, silly, and full of love.<br/><br/>I’m very cat-centric and absolutely adore other cats. I’d be the perfect plus-one for a resident kitty who’s looking for a companion (I’m not at all dominant). I love being a little sister, a big sister, or just a best friend—basically, I’m especially happy when I have feline company to snuggle and enjoy play time together. I have never been an only cat but if I could find a human companion who is home a lot, I could possibly do well as a solo artist. I live in a foster home with dogs and we get along great, so respectful canine friends are welcome too!<br/><br/>When I trust you, I become quite the conversationalist—especially if I suspect you’re holding a tasty treat. Churu anyone? Belly rubs are one of my favorite things (yes, really!), and I’ll happily tell you all about my day in my adorable, vocal way.<br/><br/>Playtime is serious business for me. Anything on the end of a wand toy is fair game, and I can run, leap, and pounce like a true feline athlete, even though I have such little short legs (my foster mom says it’s adorable). I promise you’ll be impressed by my speed and jumps! I’m also good at playing with my own toys when my humans are busy, and I never met a spring or ping pong ball I didn’t chase. I’m silly and goofy and love it when I can make my humans laugh!<br/><br/>I’m not a “pick me up and carry me around” kind of kitty—that scares me—but I am a “next to you, around you, sharing your space” kind of cat.
