This is our JIT -Just in time- litter! Mama was homeless and very pregnant. She was scheduled to be fixed regardless of the fact that she was very pregnant. That would have ended the kittens lives even before they got started. We got a phone call, and we had room to take this very pregnant mom. She arrived Wednesday. She had been scheduled to be fixed Friday. The kittens arrived Sunday. 5 beautiful tiny babies that are now 5 stunning, Very active, very friendly kits that are fixed and only 2 remain to be adopted.<br/><br/>Momma's name is Maize and here are her five fabulous kittens:<br/><br/>Manny - AVAILABLE------This fun and fabulous little man is your basic black kitten but has a spot of white fur on his chest. He gets along with everybody would be happy to be adopted with a playmate or by himself.<br/><br/><br/>Marley - AVAILABLE------- the only little girl in the group. She is happy to play with her brothers or by herself. She looks very similar to Shuey -one of our kittens in another litter. If you're looking for a matching short haired pair, this would be an option. She has been carefree and friendly from the beginning.<br/> <br/>Mason - ADOPTED------This handsome fluff ball spent several weeks being treated for a weepy eye. The vet says he may have some slight chronic condition or a virus that his body eventually will fight off. The eye doesn't weep at this time but it has a little bit of a haze and that's about the only way you can tell him apart from his fluffball twin Milo.<br/><br/>Milo – ADOPTED------Mason’s fluff ball twin -with perfect features. By the time you read this he will probably already be spoken for... He seems to have a special bond with his mom and that may be because he looks like her-except he is the male version. The two of them would probably be very happy adopted together. Mom is available! Mom is a very young cat. Technically she is probably still a kitten meaning she would be less than one year old. We estimate she got pregnant as a kitten at about the age of six months on. Fortunately for her, this is her one and only litter. She was spayed when the kittens were 8 weeks old.<br/><br/>Marcus - PENDING------ The stand out long haired Gray kitten in the group. He has a cute white splotch on his belly. He may even have some Russian blue in his genes. It was love at first sight for our volunteer that is adopting him. We do take backup applications in the event that an adoption does not get finalized. That is why he is included here.<br/><br/><br/>Momma Mazie is available! Mom is a very young cat. Technically she is probably still a kitten meaning she would be less than one year old. We estimate she got pregnant as a kitten at about the age of six months old. Fortunately for her, this is her one and only litter. She was spayed when the kittens were 8 weeks old. She is a beautiful long haired tabby who likes to wag her tail most of the time. She likes to wrestle with her kittens. They still want to nurse but she lovingly reminds them those days are done. She spends a lot of time cleaning her kittens and so they spend a lot of time cleaning themselves and each other. A great trait for all of them.
