Manny's Story

Making his debut...we are proud to introduce MANNY. There are just not enough words to express how awesome he is. Let's start with cheeks...cheeks...and more cheeks!!! MANNY is a stunningly handsome longhaired brown/black tabby male with some of the biggest, cutest cheeks we have ever seen. MANNY is estimated to be approximately eight years old.

We do not know much about MANNY'S history prior to his arrival at our cat center. We can only assume this big guy has been a stray his whole life surviving the best way he knew how. Upon intake day, MANNY had an extremely large abscess/injury that had become severely infected around the side of his neck. Our vet staff swooped right in to diagnose the problem and prepare a long-term treatment plan to get MANNY healed and healthy once again. MANNY took his whole ordeal in stride. Once a week, for a solid three months, MANNY would undergo wound care, bandage changes, and receive antibiotic injections in order for the delicate area of damaged skin around his neck to successfully granulate, resolve and heal properly as per the vet's directive. Throughout it all, MANNY was not only a champ...he was a role model patient! Resilience is MANNY'S middle name! MANNY is a gentle giant. Do not let his grumpy face or tough-guy exterior fool you! He is a mush at heart! He is friendly, gentle, calm and has a low-key demeanor. MANNY is FIV positive which is no biggie as long as he lives the indoor-only life from now on, maintains a quality diet, and sees a vet for annual checkups. MANNY adores nap time. You will often see him (and hear him...he snores!!!!) curled up on his favorite cat bed atop his fluffy blanket. MANNY wants nothing more than to soak up warm sunbeams and blissfully drift off to sleep atop a windowsill with a view. This brave, beautiful boy is so deserving, and he is now ready to live his best life...maybe it's with you!

Neutered, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FeLV tested negative, FIV tested POSITIVE, Flea preventative applied and Microchipped.

If you would like to meet MANNY, or any of our adoptable cats or kittens, please fill out an Adoption Form found in the link: https://pawswatch.org/adoptions/
