MEET MANGO!

This sweet little lady is appropriately named Mango! Mango is around 12 years old and wound up in Philly's animal control shelter as a stray. She joined us here at City of Elderly Love not too long after and now that she's gotten caught up on vet care, she's hoping to land the perfect home!

Aside from missing most of her teeth and her affinity for napping, you'd never guess she was an older lady! Mango can jump to the highest cat tower with ease and loves a good game of chase with a feather wand toy. She loves being held like a baby and hasn't stopped purring since she joined the rescue. She is currently living in foster care with other cats, dogs, and kids! She will sometimes half-heartedly swat at the other cats if they're too in her face but she otherwise lives harmoniously with everyone. Mango is just happy to hang out, snooze in sun puddles, and be your cutest little window sill ornament! 

Mango has been fully vetted since coming to the rescue. She was spayed and had a mammary tumor removed while still at the shelter. The tumor showed to be a low-grade carcinoma with clean margins and a low chance of recurrence. Mango does have chronic rhinitis (inflammation in her airways) which causes her to sound congested and occasionally snotty. She may occasionally need some nasal saline when she sounds more congested than usual.
