Mama Posie New Mexico

Meet Mama Posie! <br/><br/>Mama Posie is our longest resident by quite a bit. She was found in New Mexico in a trailer park. She had mothered two known litters by the time she was brought to us. <br/><br/>Over the close to two years we have had her, she has made a lot of progress. When originally brought in, she was extremely shy. She was afraid, and would freeze and run. She was even unwilling to sniff someones hand. She still is quite shy, but has seen major improvements as well. <br/><br/>For the longest time, she would refuse to accept any treats, however in recent months, she has began to accept and enjoy them. She also no longer runs if you approach her if she's in a bed, or somewhere she deems safe. She will sniff your hand and return slow blinks too! There has also been success with petting her, she does not yet lean into it, but if she trusts you, she wont run.<br/><br/>She still has a way to go to be the typical lap cat, but she has come a long way. <br/><br/>She also gets along with other cats very well, and would likely do best in a home with at least one other cat. It would also be best to have a cat that is outgoing for her to live with, so she has a role model.<br/><br/>Mama Posie requires lots of patience to get to her heart, but she has shown us glimpses of her sweet and cuddly side, so we know its in there!<br/><br/>If her story intrigues you, come on in and meet her!
