She came to her foster home as a young mama, and lovingly raised a litter of five kittens; all of her babies are now in wonderful homes of their own thanks to her fabulous mothering skills.<br/>Mistletoe is an indoor–outdoor cat who is very comfortable using a cat or dog door and likes to come and go throughout the day on her own schedule. Outside, she enjoys a bit of hunting, but she currently wears a bell on her collar to help protect the birds, and her favorite outdoor job is greeting neighbors and passersby like the social butterfly she is.<br/><br/>This talkative girl is quite vocal and loves to “chat” with her humans, using her meow to tell you when she wants attention, snacks, or a door opened. She absolutely adores pets and attention when her paws are safely on the ground—she’ll roll around in delight, rub around your ankles, and happily lean into brushing, belly rubs, and ear scratches.<br/><br/>Mistletoe is also an independent soul who is not a fan of being picked up and is not a lap cat, so she’s looking for someone who can respect her boundaries while still enjoying her affectionate, on-her-terms style. She has just recently been allowed upstairs at night and will occasionally sleep on the bed, but she’s also perfectly content to find her own cozy spot and entertain herself when you’re busy.<br/>Her ideal home will appreciate a friendly, social, self-assured cat who likes daily interaction—pets, brushing, ankle rubs, and ear scratches—without needing to be carried around or sit in your lap to feel loved. And, she'll absolutely need a home that allows her to be an indoor/outdoor cat. Mistletoe is also comfortable sharing her home with other animals and has lived peacefully with both dogs and cats, as long as they are polite and let her immediately and consistently establish that she is the one in charge.<br/>If you’re looking for a confident, people-oriented companion to greet you (and your neighbors!) and keep you company with conversation and ground-level cuddles, Mistletoe may be your perfect match.<br/><br/><br/>$150 adoption fee <br/><br/>Medical services already completed include;<br/>*vet exam<br/>*spay/neuter<br/>*microchip<br/>*current FVRCP vaccine (and booster if applicable timeframe)<br/>*Rabies vaccine (if old enough). <br/>*FIV/FeLV (if a litter, one cat per litter will be tested) <br/><br/>Cat's Meow Cat Rescue is an all-volunteer, non-profit, foster-home based rescue.
