Mama Mia's Story

Hello there, I'm Mama Mia. I'm a bit shy, but don't let that fool you. I value my independence but also cherish gentle strokes and soft whispers. The world can be overwhelming, so I prefer quiet corners where I can observe from a distance. But once I feel comfortable, I'll show you my affectionate side. I may not be the first to greet you, but I promise I'll be the one who stays by your side. Adopt me; you'll have a loyal friend who appreciates your love and patience.

Delta Humane Society & S.P.C.A.'s Adoption Policy
Step 1: Deciding if a pet is right for you. Before adopting a pet, ask yourself these questions... - Can I make a lifetime commitment? - Can I afford a pet? - Can I devote enough time each day to a pet? - Do I have an adequate yard/home space for a pet? Step 2: Finding the right pet After you have decided that you are ready to adopt, you will need to make sure you find the right pet. Look at all the animals then ask the staff to spend more one on one time with an animal. We encourage you to bring your pets at home so we can see if your current furbabies and your new furbaby get along. Step 3: Adopting Once you have chosen the right pet, you will need to fill out the adoption application. The paperwork must be filled out at out facility. DHS SPCA currently doesn't offer online adoption applications. REQUIREMENTS FOR ADOPTING - You MUST be 18 years or older. - If you rent, landlords approval is required. - You must have a valid ID.
