Mama Mia's Story

Mama Mia came to us with her 4 babies from BCAC. She loved her babies and was such a good mother that she even adopted an orphan. However, by the time they were ready to be weaned her babies had starting dragging her down and we struggled to get weight back on her. Mama Mia has since put on weight, been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and is ready for adoption!

Shreveport Bossier Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy

Start by completing our adoption application online at sbanimalrescue.org/adopt If you have current/previous pets, we will check with your veterinarian to ensure that they receive appropriate care. We can also recommend a veterinarian if you are a new pet owner. If you rent, we need confirmation from your landlord that pets are allowed in your home. While we don't do same-day adoptions, you should hear from one of our adoption volunteers within 72 hours. When your application is approved, we will schedule a pick-up time for your new kitty! We always love to see photos of our SBAR kitties in their new homes! You can send photos to our email or our Facebook page.
