Shiva Foundation's Adoption Policy
1. Potential Adopter fills out a Pre-screening application form if in person adoption or out adoption form online on our website. 2. We screen the Potential adaptor with his housing situation (rent or own). We typically avoid renters due to rent policy and too many renters rehoming in our area. 3. We check their Veterinary reference to make sure if they have any current pets, they are well taken care of. 4. We have a phone interview with few more questions other than what's on adoption form. 5. If everything checks out, we will go ahead and let them know about their application is approved or denied if not. 6. Once approved we do home checks and then go ahead and get their adoption contract ready to get signed and collect adoption fee before we hand over the kitten for them to take home.
