Mama Callie's Story
Meet Callie

Callie is proof that sometimes the best personalities take a little time to discover.

When you first meet her, Callie may seem reserved. She's not necessarily the cat who's going to rush across the room and introduce herself to every new person who walks through the door.

Give her a little time, though, and you start meeting the real Callie.

And the real Callie is incredibly sweet.

Once she knows you, that initial reserve gives way to a much warmer side of her personality. She's the kind of cat whose affection feels a little extra special because you know she didn't hand it out automatically-you gave her the opportunity to get comfortable enough to show you who she really is.

There's another side of Callie that's particularly fun to watch: this girl LOVES to play.

She's frequently been spotted happily playing all by herself, apparently requiring neither an audience nor an invitation to have a good time. Give Callie something entertaining and she's perfectly capable of creating her own amusement.

That's actually a wonderful quality in an adult cat. Callie enjoys companionship, but she doesn't need a human providing entertainment every waking minute. She has enough curiosity and playfulness to keep herself occupied and then enjoy the sweeter side of life with her people once everyone settles in.

Callie originally came to us as a mama, but motherhood is only one chapter of her story. Her kittens don't define the cat she is today.

Today, she's Callie: a playful, sweet adult girl who may take a little longer to introduce herself than some of the other cats around her.

So if you meet Callie and she seems reserved, don't assume you've met the whole cat.

Give her some time.

The sweet, playful girl underneath is worth getting to know. Come meet her at the Second Cup Cat Cafe.

-----------------------------------------

If you're interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt.
