Malika (bonded with Saïd)'s Story
Malika and Saïd (and their siblings) have spent their whole lives indoors. They recently made their way to AVA from northern Ontario in search of their forever homes.

Malika is a darling tuxedo with a playful and curious nature. Her tuxedo markings are unique; notice her “white sleeve” and her “black sleeve” and small black nose stripe. Her intelligence shines through in her gentle interactions and inquisitive demeanor. Malika loves to play with wand toys and catnip-filled toys and enjoys exploring the nooks and crannies of her foster home. She can be picked up and patted easily.

Malika and her brother Saïd are bonded and so must be adopted together. They would benefit in a quiet home with a family who will let them adjust at their own pace. Your patience will be rewarded as you watch them blossom into sweet and loving companions.

Would you like to make Malika and her brother Saïd a part of your family? Please complete our online application found at: www.avacats.org/adoption-application-form

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Adoption fees are $250 for each cat 1 year or older. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.

All AVA kittens 12 months or younger must be adopted in pairs or go to a home with another young cat (3 years or younger). Kittens learn from each other how to behave, which helps them turn into well-adjusted adult cats. In general, paired cats have happier and healthier lives because they have a constant companion and playmate. Plus, it's twice the fun for you, and half the work!
