Malibu (Mallow)'s Story

Like many of the kittens we rescue, Malibu was tiny, skinny and sickly when he arrived. This poor boy was abandoned by his mother outdoors at around 2 weeks old. He was bottle fed by one of our volunteers, and he's now a happy, healthy, affectionate boy ready to go to his forever home!

Malibu has been described as a "ladies man" by his foster parent. He would do best in a calmer home that has people ready to dote on him and surely doesn't mind being the center of attention. No worries though, if you happen to forget your duties he will sure let you know! This snuggle bug will certainly give you a talking to if his cuddle tank is too low.

Malibu is neutered, vaccinated, parasite treated, combo tested (negative), so he is all healthy and ready to go to his new home! If Malibu sounds like the perfect addition to your family, please send us an application here:
https://www.appalachianpeacepaws.org/adopt

Edit 7/30/2025: Malibu is still quite the affectionate and snuggly cat (as all former bottle babies tend to be). He is independent, loves to play, loves to watch backyard critters while on the catio, and nap in the fresh air. He gets along with most other cats (the standoffish cats with large boundaries don't care for him trying to make friends) and was temporarily with a foster who had dogs and young children. He did well there too. Malibu is our longest resident foster and has been with us for over 3 years! This sweetie really deserves to find his furever home. Could that be with you?

Once this is done an in person or virtual home check is done and the successful applicant is asked to make a donation (required amounts vary by species) to help offset our costs and the applicant can arrange to take their new family member home.
