Malibu's Story

This little girl sneakily hitched a ride home with a friend of Shadow Cats right before the July 4th weekend flooding started (a stowaway in a Chevy Malibu). She spent 2 days outsmarting the traps in their garage, but after some perseverance and pure determination (and the help of physics, angling the trap up just a hair higher) she was caught! She was brought to Shadow Cats the following day.
Malnourished, this girl only weighed in at 2 1/2 lbs despite being almost 5 months old! She quickly gained the weight needed to become healthy enough for her spay and is now thriving. Miss Malibu was hesitant about people at first but is adjusting well, although still a bit on the timid side. Although very shy at first, she does turn into the biggest love bug and is such a sweetheart. She loves to snuggle and sit in your lap, and has the loudest purr! She also loves to play & watch cat TV. Malibu does great with other cats - even snuggling up to them if she gets scared. We are currently working with her to get her used to dogs as well.
Malibu does not belong at a sanctuary, where we focus more on medical needs & senior cats, and would love a home to call her own!
