Makenzie's Story

Playing peek-a-boo, it's Makenzie! Little Miss Mak had a rough start to life as a cat from a home with too many cats to care for. As such, Makenzie has lived with multiple other cats and understands how to share her space, especially in a calmer setting than the one she came from. We don't know how this young mom feels about dogs and kids, but she is warming up to staff and making us laugh with her antics.

Makenzie can be reserved at first and sensitive to noise. Like many cats from her home, she responds to new things by checking it out from a safe place. During those early days, the Makenzie you get hiding under her safety blankets is a different girl! She'll roll around and make biscuits, head butting and encouraging you to play. We think this is more true to her personality, just covered up by her nerves at being away from the only home she's known. As such, Makenzie would do best in a patient, loving home that allows her to settle in at her own pace. We think the girl she'll become will be worthwhile, as long as her family is brave enough to take the chance on her.
