Magpie's Story
Magpie – Available for Adoption

Magpie is a little old lady looking for her forever family! While she may be labeled a ‘senior cat’, there is nothing but kitten energy in this silly girl! After some difficult years outside, there’s nothing she loves more than zooming around and playing with her favorite toys, including but not limited to, her feather wand, ball tower, and her prized collection of 40+ catnip toys. She has also claimed a nondescript towel as her favorite hangout spot (see picture) and likes to bunny kick the towel when she’s feeling sassy.

Magpie came to BFF rescue severely underweight with a painful mouth wound. After lots of TLC, we’re happy to say that Magpie is both looking and feeling good! Magpie spent many years on the streets and is still adjusting to the indoor life! She prefers a quiet, cave troll-like existence much of the time but is quick to come hang out when she sees her favorite people! She would do best in a quiet home with a patient adopter who has experience with shy kitties. We think Magpie could do well in a home as a single cat or with one or two calm, confident kitty friends. While it may take some time to earn her trust, she has so much love and affection to give her person! Butt scratches and Churus are the way to this girl’s heart!

Even though she only has two teeth left, Magpie still believes she is an apex predator. She enjoys both wet and dry food and likes to hunt her catnip toys. She likes to give you little love bites with her gummy mouth when she plays, which feel like little kisses! She has the silliest personality and likes to snort like a piggy when she’s happy, usually while playing, grooming herself, or getting pets.

Magpie is approximately 8+ years old, spayed, negative for FeLV and FIV and up-to-date on her vaccinations.
