Magnet's Story

Meet Magnet -- the soft-spoken boy with a heart of gold and the gentlest little "M" right on his forehead to prove it. He came from a home with over 30 cats, so he's still learning that it's okay to take up space and be seen. Most days, you'll find him tucked into his cozy blanket fort, peeking out with light green eyes that say, "I'm thinking about it."

Once he decides you're safe, Magnet quietly steps out, curious and cautious in equal measure -- and if you're paying attention, you'll catch the sweetest little expressions as he warms up to you. He gets along beautifully with other cats and would love a peaceful home where he can keep blossoming at his own pace.

Magnet isn't one to demand attention; he's more of a quiet presence -- the kind of cat who sticks close once he trusts you, offering comfort just by being near. Whether he ends up as an indoor shadow, an indoor/outdoor buddy, or a calm barn companion, he's ready for someone who sees the quiet kind of love he has to offer. An adoption application can be filled out on the DHS website https://www.dekalbhumanesociety.org/adopt. Dog adoption fees are $200.00 for all puppies and adult dogs. Seniors are a donation of choice.
Cats and kittens are a donation of choice.
