At first, we might tuck ourselves away and watch from a safe spot, but little by little, we come out of our shells. Wand toys? Those are our bravery boosters. Treats? The way straight to our hearts. We're young, sweet, and just looking for a quiet home where we can feel safe enough to blossom. We can be adopted together or separately--whatever helps us find our perfect soft place to land. Cape Coral Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

We use a counseling approach to finding forever homes for the animals in our care. We screen our applicants but try not to create barriers to adoption. In three years of operation, we found homes for over 3,500 animals with only 12 kennels and 3 cat rooms. Communication with adopters is a huge part of our operations.

Our Mission

The Cape Coral Animal Shelter mission is to engage a special bond between people and animals by means of adoption services, medical care, education and training for the prevention of cruelty and abandonment. A safe place, where animals will remain in our care until they are placed in a qualified, forever home.
