MAGGIE Q's Story
Maggie Q came to us thanks to her amazing foster, Kasandra, who volunteers with another wonderful local rescue in Grand Rapids. Maggie was originally found in Wyoming in January 2025, and when she tested positive for Feline Leukemia (FeLV), she needed a safe place to recover — somewhere she could gain weight, get her dental needs taken care of, and build confidence.
By fall of 2025, Maggie was ready for the next chapter — and that’s when we met and instantly fell in love with this gentle, quiet girl. Her overall health was good, except for a condition called Feline Caudal Stomatitis (FCS), a dental-related inflammation that’s somewhat common in FeLV cats. With a little treatment and some steroids, Maggie quickly perked up — and now sports minty-fresh breath and a happier spirit!
Maggie Q is still a bit shy, but her sweetness shines through every day. She enjoys quiet, one-on-one time with her favorite humans, and loves being held close. Her favorite spot is her catio cubby, where she can watch the world go by and observe her feline friends from a cozy distance. She’s incredibly gentle — even when other cats come near, she never shows aggression. She’s simply too kind for that!
We think our girl (born in late 2019) would thrive in a calm home with someone who is around often and appreciates the soft charm of a quieter kitty. She could also do well with another mellow cat companion.
Maggie Q (the Q is for Qute?) is part of our Forever Foster a Feleuk Kitty Program — a special opportunity to provide love and care for wonderful cats like her. Ask us about it — we think you’ll be thrilled to learn more!
