Maggie Cat RR NV's Story

Maggie is a beautiful and sweet 4 year old brown and white tabby, and her story will truly stay with you.

She recently experienced the sudden loss of her human companion and the only life she has ever known. The police confiscated her on Easter Sunday when they conducted a wellness check and found her human deceased. She is understandably shy with strangers after everything she's been through, but has thrived in her foster home. She loves to sit in her foster mother's lap; enjoys belly rubs, getting brushed and just " hanging out". She tends to observe strangers from a safe distance, but with patience and kindness, she shows her true sweet and gentle nature. She has been kept separate from the other cat in the foster home because he is a young alpha dominant male who scares her when he is in the same room with her. She may do best as the only cat or in a home without dominant or assertive cats.

Maggie's ideal home would have to be calm, quiet, and predictable. She is very shy and timid, so constant traffic or loud noises will surely not benefit Maggie. We would love her to be in a home where her human(s) is patient, loving, kind, and understand that Maggie is going through a very tough grieving and healing journey. She will not do well with aggressive pets either. And most importantly, our Maggie needs the love, time, and reassurance.
