Maggie's Story

Maggie and Molly urgently needed a loving foster or forever home after their beloved mom received the heartbreaking news that she was getting ready to cross over due to cancer. Her greatest wish was knowing her fur babies will be safe, loved, and cared for. Maggie and Molly are 13-years-old and have been together their whole lives. However, after being in a foster home for a good while, it was determined that they really aren't bonded and can go to separate homes without causing distress. Maggie is sweet, funny, curious, and full of personality! She will follow you around the house like a dog, just to make sure she's not missing out on anything interesting. Her favorite spot to nap is right behind her people on the back of the couch. She has plenty of energy to run, jump, and play with a variety of toys. She takes her twice daily pill very easily in a pill pocket. Maggie is cheerful, easy-going, and ready to find a loving home as an only cat so she can live out her life like the true Queen she is!

Adopters download and complete an adoption application from our website and email it back to info@lapsandnaps.org. After reviewing the application, either the director or the animal care coordinator calls the potential adopter and conducts a phone interview. A home visit is sometimes conducted and, if the adopter is approved, arrangements are made for the adopter to meet the cat (s)he is interested in adopting. If it's a good match, the adopter pays the adoption fee, signs an adoption contract, and the cat goes to its new home.
