Maeve's Story

Maeve is a beautiful bobtail tortie with a shy, slightly spicy personality that makes her extra special. She feels safest when she can take her time settling in and is most comfortable observing her world until she decides it’s time to engage. Maeve enjoys attention, but only on her terms—she prefers gentle affection over cuddles and is not a fan of laps.

She’s currently living with two giant-breed dogs and handles them just fine, showing her calm and confident side. Maeve would likely thrive as an only cat, though she could potentially accept another feline friend with a very slow, patient introduction. Independent, thoughtful, and full of quiet charm, Maeve is looking for a home that will respect her boundaries and let her blossom at her own pace.

All CCATS's adoptable cats and kittens have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, treated for parasites and have tested negative for FIV/FELV.

Ready to add some purr-fection to your life? Apply at https://ccatsrescue.org/ and click on "Adoption Application".

Maeve can't wait to hear from you!

As each of the cats in our rescue are lovingly cared for in private foster homes, personal meet and greets are scheduled with a submitted application only, in an effort to be respectful of our foster families' time.

Many of our cats and kittens are also available to meet in person at our twice monthly (sometimes more often) adoption events. Community Cat Advocacy Team - Springfield (CCATS)'s Adoption Policy
Adoption application must be completed, which includes an adoption contract. Applicants must agree to keep cats or kittens indoor only (with very limited exceptions). If applicants rent, we contact the landlord to ensure that they're allowed to have an animal(s), and we discuss the home layout and area's the cat(s) or kitten(s) will be able to utilize. While we always hope that anyone wanting to adopt is ready and able to - we try minimize negative outcomes with a thorough application review and following up on unclear questions.
