Mae's Story
Mae was born around August 29th, 2024. She loves to cuddle under blankets with her people sometimes. She's very playful and knows how to play fetch, her favorite toy to play fetch with is a spring shaped toy. Mae is kennel trained and used to being in her kennel while food is being prepared/eaten. She is comfortable around other cats but could be a bit too active for older cats as she still enjoys wrestling and chase type play. Mae has high food drive and will require management by her future family to prevent her from damaging/eating her people's food. She's been known to attempt to eat other pet's food and her person's food. Mae hasn't spent time outside aside from spending time on a deck which she was said to enjoy! She loved playing with a golden retriever in her previous home. Mae loved spending time on a heating pad, cat tower, and loved climbing and scratching. Her person said she wasn't able to trim her nails on her own but Mae does tolerate brushing well and was diligent about using scratching posts. Mae doesn't seem to enjoy being picked up, but is very happy with sitting near people and snuggling when she's feeling extra loving.

Mae knows her nickname Mae Mae. She's always been on the small size and is a petite ~6lb girl! She'll definitely need portioned feeding to ensure she doesn't become overweight. Mae is said to be friendly to most people but she seems to have favorites. After a short warm-up period, she seems to do very well with new people. Mae's always had excellent litter box habits.

Mae's previous home loved her very much and took excellent care of her. They experienced significant life changes that made it extremely difficult for them to care for Mae.

Mae is just over a year old and originally came to Kindred Spirits Rescue when her mom passed away when she was just 3-4 weeks of age. She was adopted and lived in a wonderful home that loved and cared for her deeply. Life circumstances changed and forced her person to return Mae to us. It's easy to tell Mae has been cared for well and loves people. She's ready for her next chapter in life!

Mae is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV/FIV. She's being fostered in Little Falls, MN.

If you're interested in adopting Mae, please apply here: https://forms.gle/NDs1oCik4J3K8vsv7
