MADILYN's Story

Pretty MADILYN had a loving home, but unfortunately, her family had financial problems and were no longer able to provide a home for her and her sibling. All too often, in this kind of situation, the cats are left to fend for themselves. The fact that they arranged to bring these adorable kitties to the shelter is a testament to how much these kitties were loved. And it shows as both cats are sweet! In fact, her sister was adopted within a day of becoming available!

MADILYN is a bit shy and is just observing, trying to figure out what happened. But she does like attention and will purr when being petted. The family told us MADILYN (formerly known as Pretty Kitty) is not crazy about being picked up and held for long periods of time. She is very mellow and likes to find a nice spot to lay around, but between naps, she does like a bit of play! She also likes to share a bed.

MADILYN has had no contact with dogs, so we do not know how she would be. She may, with proper, slow introduction, be fine with a non-aggressive dog. As MADILYN had a kitty sibling, she should, again with slow introductions, be fine with a non-aggressive cat. MADILYN also lived with two children, so kids old enough to know about soft pets and no tight hugs would be fine with this beautiful kitty. As an adult cat, she may be more of a snuggle buddy than a playmate. However, once she settles in and become more comfortable with her new home, she may blossom and play a bit and perhaps enjoy a comfy lap along with a bed. Although the shelter gave her the name MADILYN, we have noted that she does respond to PRETTY KITTY, which is what the former family called her.

MADILYN is a sweet, quiet kitty who is looking for a second chance at having a loving, forever home!
