MACK's Story

NEUTERED MALE
Approximately 5 1/2 months old

Mack is a very sweet, affectionate, playful, and resilient kitten!

Mack learned survival skills from the moment he was born. He was one of five kittens that were trapped along with their parents at a cedar shake mill near Campbell River. Even after the rest of his family were caught, smart little Mack evaded his rescuers for several days before finally being trapped.

Mack is gentle and does not scratch or bite. He loves pets and snuggling and especially belly rubs! He loves to chase toys and “wrestle” them once they're caught.

With a little patience, he adapts well in a new environment. It does take a little while for him to warm up to strangers, but it only took him a week to fall asleep next to his current foster family. Now Mack is thriving in a quiet home with only two adult humans. Given time and patience, he would likely do well in any reasonably quiet home. We don't recommend a home with young children, as Mack finds them a bit intimidating.

HEALTH

Mack has been neutered, microchipped, dewormed, vet checked, and vaccinated. His medical records will accompany him upon adoption.

NEXT STEPS

We highly recommend adopting kittens in pairs as they bond, keep each other company when you are out, and it encourages positive cat behaviours. If you don't already have a playful young cat, Mack should be adopted with another kitten or young cat listed with CR PAWS. You may be eligible for a discount if you adopt more than one cat.

If you would like to be Mack's new family, please submit an application using this link: HTTPS://CRPAWS.ca/adoption If you are interested in more than one CRPAWS cat, include all their names on your application.

Every application is considered carefully by our small but mighty team of volunteers. We will be in touch as soon as possible, normally in 3 days or less.
