Machine's Story

Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Age: 5 years
Gender: Spayed Female
Litter Box Trained: Yes
Declawed: No
Adoption Fee: $100

Am I good with:
Cats: Yes, submissive cats are best
Dogs: No
Children: Yes

About me: Machine is a 5 year old kitty who has retired from motherhood and she is embracing the empty nester life. After spending so much of her time being a mama, shes ready for a home where she gets to be the center of attention for once. Machine knows her worth and carries herself like the queen bee she is.
She has an independent side and is perfectly content doing her own thing, but shell absolutely seek out attention when she decides its time. One of her favorite activities is window watching and observing the world from above. Because of her queen bee personality, Machine would do best with calmer, more submissive cats who will respect her space and let her take charge. She is not a fan of dogs, which can be pretty common for mama cats who have spent so much of life looking after everyone else. Machine has done enough caring for others, now its her turn to be spoiled.

This cat has been at ARP since: 4/12/26

The Animal Rescue Project is committed to providing the best possible veterinary care for the pets it rescues, and it is looking for adopters who will be similarly committed.

Adoptions are NOT first come, first served! We aim to choose the best fit for both the approved adopter and the pet.

Please understand that these animals are still new to us, and their needs and requirements can change at any time as we learn more about them. We will do our best to update their information online as soon as possible.

All cats and kittens receive a general check-up when they enter our program. They are treated to remove any intestinal parasites (worms), fleas, and mites they may have. All cats and kittens are tested for feline leukemia and are also tested for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). Each cat or kitten receives the FVRCP vaccine; if a kitten remains with us long enough, two or three boosters will be given after the initial vaccination.
Most cats and older kittens are spayed or neutered before adoption. For kittens not old enough to be safely sterilized, a $50 deposit is required at the time of adoption and is refunded to the adopter upon proof of sterilization.

The Animal Rescue Project requires every adopter to establish an active relationship with a veterinarian within 10 days of adoption. Adopters will receive a plan for routine veterinary care at the time of adoption and are expected to work with their veterinarian to complete the plan.
