Mac (gets adopted with Snow)'s Story

Mac gets adopted with his brother, Snow.

If you are interested in adopting a cat or kitten from Almost Home read our adoption policies at https://AlmostHomeAdoptions.com/adopt before visiting.

Mac is a very sweet, playful, curious, handsome boy. He is cautious of new people initially but warms up to patient people. He verbalizes his need for pets and enjoys interactive toy play (battery operated or teaser type, especially daBird which must be supervised during play), chasing the red dot, staying close to his humans, sitting in a window watching the world outside, wrestling with his brother, Snow, and checking out new things. He may roll over and show off his belly for some side belly rubs, but belly pets still trigger play responses and he may gently grab your hand then get confused as to why it was there and roll back upright to avoid it. Mac used to enjoy snuggles and kisses but has regressed being in the busy rescue with so many visitors, cats, and noises. Although he is not completely loving it yet, after some special attention Mac is doing okay with being held for a short time and is sticking around for some lap time. He would do much better in a quiet home with his brother, Snow.

Mac and Snow are very sweet and enjoy circling their humans for lots of attention and petting as they quietly purr. They need a quiet home with patient people who will give them attention, talk to them often, and appreciate the trust building with these great gentle boys before they start following you everywhere. Once comfortable, they will be running around, playing with toys, and chasing each other while stopping in often for some petting and attention from their forever humans.

Please visit all of our furry friends at:
6010 West 88th Avenue, Westminster, CO 80031
(Harlan and 88th)
Phone: 303-432-2299
Website: www.AlmostHomeAdoptions.com

Please thoroughly read the following information about adopting an Almost Home cat or kitten before submitting a request: All Almost Home cats and kittens come with health records and are dewormed, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, FIV/FeLV tested, and microchipped. Applicants must live within 1 hour of Almost Home Adoptions, and have reliable transportation. Kittens do best when they have a friend! Almost Home kittens are typically adopted as pairs. We adopt out single kittens only when available, and only to homes that already have at least one cat. Please do not ask us to separate bonded pairs; these requests will not be honored. Please do not apply on a whim! Out of consideration for the time and energy of our small adoptions team, we ask that you apply only when certain that you are ready and able to adopt. Fill out the form thoroughly. Incomplete forms will not be considered. Must be 21+. All adoptions will require a home visit (in-person or via Zoom) prior to final approval. If there is a specific cat/kitten that you are interested in, please complete the appointment request form on our website. We are unable to hold cats/kittens, so we cannot guarantee availability. Our Petfinder page is updated frequently.
