Mac's Story

This two-year-old boy is incredibly people-oriented - he doesn’t just want someone around all the time; he NEEDS it! Mac can be chatty and will happily follow you around the house for hours, telling you all about his day and expecting a full update on yours in return. He’s a lap cat, but on his own terms. He loves being petted, but whatever you do, don’t touch the belly! That’s a hard no from Mac. At night, you’ll always find him curled up in bed with you. During the day, he’s a little more independent, but still needs to keep tabs on his people. Whatever you're doing, he wants in: taking a shower? He’s right there. Doing paperwork? He’s your new assistant. Watching TV? Make room on the couch for Mac! Mac still enjoys all the classic cat stuff - knocking things off tables (watch your paperwork!), bird and squirrel watching, and long naps in sunny spots. And when it’s time to play, he prefers it to be a team sport: toss a ball or grab a wand toy, and he’ll be all in.
We’re not sure how Mac does with other cats, and while he’s okay with kids, he’s definitely not a fan of dogs. He prefers to be the only “best friend” in the house.

Mac’s story started in a parking garage, where he was trapped and brought to Animal Services. He was initially tagged for TNR, but it was quickly clear that he was far too affectionate to be returned to life outside. He was meant for indoor life, and now he’s ready to find his forever home at last.

If you’re looking for a new best friend who’s always by your side, you have to meet Mac!

As we often receive numerous applications for each cat or kitten, we will only contact applicants who best suit the needs of the cat or kitten. For example, if it is stipulated that the cat needs another cat buddy at home and you do not have one, you may not receive a response. Finding the best home for our cat or kitten is our top priority. Applications are not first-come, first-served.
