MABIKA's Story

Meet Mabika, the professional footballer born in September 2025, who is ready to leave the minor leagues of fostering and sign a lifetime contract with your family!
On the field, she’s a vision in black, but don't let her sleek kit fool you. She’s like the secret weapon of your favorite squad; when she flips over to show off her belly for pets, she reveals her hidden, dazzling patch of white fur —it’s her version of a celebratory pitch invasion!

Mabika is sweet, but she's not a rookie. She’s a shy free agent at first and needs a minute to warm up on the sidelines. You’ll need to patiently earn her trust, but once you do, she'll abandon all pretense of being a defensive player and deliver a perfect penalty shot of love, crawling right into your lap for a long, well-deserved petting session.

As a master of the dribble, Mabika absolutely loves to play and needs a good coach to keep her active. To keep her game strong, she would be happiest in a home with another cat or, better yet, being adopted alongside one of her star siblings: Karifa, Vegas, Frank, or Grant.
Don't wait for a VAR check to confirm this is the right move—Mabika is an undisputed champion ready to bring home the gold!

Rhode Island Feline Rescue's Adoption Policy
We have a very detailed Adoption Application as well as an adoption coordinator system. Once an application is received, it will be reviewed by the adoption coordinator, vet records confirmed, residence status, renting/landlord information, pet permission, and employment verified then the coordinator conducts an interview with the potential adopter. If deemed a good match, the adoption coordinator forwards the information about the potential adopter to the foster. If the foster also agrees then they will have a meet and greet. At the completion of the meeting, if both parties agree the cat/kittens is a good fit an adoption contract is signed, and the adoption fee paid. We do not adopt on a first come, first served basis. All the cats and kittens in our care receive the following: checkup, spay/neuter, rabies & distemper vaccines, de-worming medicine, flea preventative, microchip, and Felv/FIV test.
