Lyse's Story

This sweet girl is Lyse (pronounced “lease”). Please excuse her appearance as she’s still recovering from a terrible ordeal. Lyse was found at a boat ramp, and the kind man who found her thought she was dead. She was probably only a few days away. When she was found, she weighed only 6 lbs and with her tall frame, 9-10 lbs is a healthy weight.
After months recovering with the rescue, she’d finally gained enough weight to be put up for adoption, so she was taken to the vet to have her vaccines updated and be microchipped. When the vet scanned for an existing microchip, one was found! The registered owner was contacted and sadly, Lyse had been rehomed on Facebook and her new family had quickly discontinued contact. This is the sad truth about rehoming to people you don’t know.
Lyse is so fortunate to have been found. She’s extremely loving and quite young-estimated to be around 2-3 years old. It’s going to take time for her coat to fully recover. She has beautiful long fur growing in, but it is prone to matting and she will need someone able to commit to regular brushing. Let me tell you, she’s worth it! Once she has proper nutrition and a loving family, this girl will be absolutely stunning. She’s fully vetted and ready to find a family who will love her forever. She gets along well with other kitties and is patient and sweet. Please consider giving this wonderful kitty a loving, lifelong home
