Lynn Loraine's Story

Meet Lynn Loraine, the grandmother of ALL of Downtown Wilmington's cats. Or at least that's what her foster mom believes.

Her fur with its orange throughout makes her a torbie (tabby tortieshell) or a tabico (tabby calico).

Despite being 70-80 percent blind, Lynn Loraine somehow managed to survive on the streets while raising kittens . An infection has left her eyes with some scarring, but she can still see well enough to jump up on things and play with her silvervine stick.

We don't know how old she is exactly, but we're thinking she's an older lady. She's hasn't been all that playful. Mostly she just wants to cuddle:')

Lynn Loraine loves being pet and lets you hold her for a long time, and she gets very excited for food. She will purr from start to finish when it comes to food.

Most of our cats need cat buddies to be happy, but we don't think this lady NEEDS another cat in the home. She seems quite content with lots of food and comfy place and love from her people:')

All cats and kittens adopted through Friends of Felines are spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on FVRCP vaccinations and rabies shots (if old enough).

If you'd like to meet this icon, see our adoption process below:

~

1) Fill out the adoption application at https://friendsofelines.org/adopt
2) Meet with the cat in their foster home
3) If you and the cat are a match then we will set a take home date 1-7 days after the meeting depending on schedules.

** We are not able to hold cats for a particular family longer than about 7 days, unless the cat is available for pre-adoption which will be noted on their profile.
