Lupin, Poppy & Rose's Story

Spring Garden of Kittens: Poppy, Rose, and Lupin

Poppy, Lupin (huge polydactyl front paws!) and Rose arrived at their foster home in mid January. They had been on the streets of New Haven, CT and were rescued right before the major winter storms hit.

Poppy is a beautiful calico with a round sweet face. She was spicy at first, but Now, she loves pets, belly rubs, and will give you a full face head rub to show affection. She loves to play, but we often see her sleeping on the cat tree watching the birds through the window. At night, Poppy likes to sleep near her foster Dad’s face. She would do well in a home with an existing young cat.

Rose and Lupin are a bonded pair. Rose is still a little shy, so she needs her brother for comfort. She is a striking dark tortie who loves Churu. She will eat it from your finger and she likes it when we talk softly to her. She enjoys sleeping on a shelf in the closet or in the cat donut with her brother during the day. Rose will sleep on the bed with her siblings at night. She recently discovered cat tv and that has helped engage her in play. Rose will do well in a home where she can blossom in her own time and also receive daily enrichment and bonding. She could be a wonderful lap kitty with patience and nurturing.

Lupin is a white and orange polydactyl boy. During the day, he likes to sleep in the cat tree cubby or in the cat donut. In the evening, he has entertaining zoomies before settling down next to his foster Dad. He has a wonderfully loud purr and loves chin scratches and pets. Lupin likes Churu and will eat a few treats, but his love is toys. It is adorable watching his huge paws bat around pom pom balls, toy mice, and reach for wand toys!

All three kittens love wet food (and dry food) and are good eaters. They clean themselves well and have great litter box habits. If you are interested in Poppy or Rose and Lupin, please contact Mary’s Kitty Korner for an application.
