Luna & Red Rose's Story

Meet Luna (grey tabby) and Red Rose (reddish brown tabby)!

These two are catten sisters who came to us recently. They were trapped with two other kittens and their mom back in October by some resourceful people in South Fayette! When we heard that they trapped and had all of them vetted themselves we were so happy! We love when people TNR or help cats on their own without expecting local rescues to do all the work for them.

They were on a list for another shelter, but had tested faintly positive for FeLV at 2 months old so the shelter denied them. Fast forward to January when they were retested and negative for FeLV/FIV!

(If you didn’t know - kittens can test positive for both FeLV and FIV as kittens as they can carrier antibodies from their mom. Once they are no longer reliant on mom’s milk the antibodies go away and they can be retested and be negative! Many places have stopped testing all together, but we think it is important to know as much about a cat as possible that we are adopting out.)

Their mom and two siblings already found homes with the people who rescued them, but these two are still searching!

They are bonded and must be adopted together. They are shy, quiet, gentle, and so so sweet. They love to play!! They will need a quiet home and no small children.

Interested in adopting? Visit our website - nose2tailcatrescue.org
