Luna & Orion's Story

Glittering stars painted the night sky as the Lunar Litter came into the world. They were celebrating the rescue of a mama cat and her soon-to-be-earthside babies. This feral girl and her kittens had lucked into the home of foster Christine, who was determined to give them all a fresh start.

Christine raised the Lunar Litter and successfully placed their mom and all but two of the kittens into loving indoor homes. Luna and Orion spent some time at a shelter, waiting for the stars to align on a home that would adopt them together. They battled upper respiratory infections (URIs) and came back into foster to heal. Both have thrived and made fast friends with all cats they’ve come across so far.

Orion is Luna’s guiding light – she takes cues from her big brother and seeks his comfort when she’s unsure or scared. But this doesn’t mean she isn’t expressive: her foster mom reports that she has a face for every mood, and has perfected the slow blink to shower upon her favorite humans.

Orion, like his star namesake, is the shining one: an explorer who investigates everything, including what his humans are up to around the house. His head tilt (likely from a past URI) fits well with his inquisitive nature, and doesn’t slow him down.

Luna and Orion love to snuggle, and were especially fond of their foster human brother’s cuddles at bedtime. Although this pair can be timid at first when meeting new people, they warm up quickly and enjoy the company of humans and other cats immensely.

This celestial pair is ready for a home that will let them truly sparkle, spelling out forever across the heavens.

Luna and Orion are approximately two years old and are up-to-date on vaccines, litter trained, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and FeLV/FIV negative.
