Luna & Lucy's Story

Meet Lucy & Luna — the inseparable duo who will fill your home with love. ?

Lucy – Black & White

Lucy is the more social of the two sisters. Playful and affectionate, she’ll happily follow you around, rubbing against you and “chatting” about your day. She loves being wherever her people are and soaking up their affection. While she does allow you to pick her up and has occasionally sat on laps, she usually prefers to keep her feet on the ground. Wherever Lucy goes, her sister Luna is never far behind — these girls share a deep bond.

Luna – Brown Tabby
Luna is a very special girl with a huge heart. She was born with luxating patella in both back legs (one being the most severe grade) which gives her a cute bowlegged walk, like a gunslinger. She also has a grade 4 heart murmur and extra toes (“thumbs”). But Luna doesn't know she's different; despite these challenges, Luna runs, jumps, climbs, plays, and uses the litter box just fine. A single-story home may be ideal long-term to reduce strain on her legs.

Her future care is flexible and up to her adopter. Cornell has provided a surgery estimate to repair both patellas, which could be discussed with a specialist if desired. Alternatively, supportive care and a thoughtful plan with your vet can give her a wonderful, full life.

Luna enjoys following you around for attention but is more of a quiet listener than a talker. When petted, she has a quirky habit of shifting to the side, stopping for a moment, then moving again — her own little routine. She loves being brushed, often flopping on her side and purring with contentment. She’s not a fan of being picked up, as it makes her nervous, but she’ll happily soak up affection on her own terms.

These two girls need a home together, one that will cherish Lucy’s lively spirit and Luna’s gentle heart. Whether it’s sunny windowsills, cozy naps, or quiet evenings, they’ll be by your side — reminding you every day what unconditional love looks like.

Are you ready to give these sisters the happily-ever-after they deserve?
