Luna's Story

This absolutely stunning female dilute calico was living in a backyard when the kind-hearted resident noticed there was something different about her eyes. She scooped her up and brought her to AALOC. A vet diagnosed Luna had only 60% vision in her left eye but 100% in her right eye. Luna’s slight vision impairment doesn’t stop this feline from being a bit of a stinker. You can only pet her once and then she will smack you back with her paw. She looks for attention but then isn’t sure she wants to receive affection. Luna is a bit of an enigma.

Dilute is not a breed, but rather a specific coat pattern. The blend of three different colors - usually white, black and brown or red hues - is what creates a dilute-colored feline. The pattern is quite rare, only occurring in one in a thousand cats.

We feel the best fit for Luna would be a quiet adult home with someone willing to provide the patience Luna needs to build trust. If you are willing to give Luna a chance please submit an application at www.AALOC.org to adopt Luna. Once your application is reviewed and approved we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Luna and get to know her a bit.

Adoption donation includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, and a microchip. Applications require a veterinary reference and home visit. We adopt to residents of Orange County, CA and surrounding areas. Please note: For families with children, we require children to be 10 years of age or older, although exceptions are made depending on the circumstances. For more information on our adoption policies visit our website at www.AALOC.org or contact us by e-mail at aaloc@aaloc.org.
